ReplyDeleteIt might be not compatible with the build number.
ReplyDeleteI can confirm that it's working for GT-I9300 4.2.2
But you can try this : http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2013/11/How-to-Root-Any-Android-Device-VRoot-Method.html
And if it work use this : http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2013/11/How-to-Root-Any-Android-Device-VRoot-Method.html
(I don't test it on 4.3)
Best regards

ReplyDeletei figured it out and got it to work but now it reboots my phone at random. I'm not sure the of the problem but it think i might have to re-flash my phone to factory default. I can say this, your script does work with sch-i535.
ReplyDeleteOMG it worked!! Ive been looking all over for this!! Thanks sooo much!!!
ReplyDeleteDid not work for me. I have a N7100 updated to 4.3 Via OTA. I followed the instructions word for word.
ReplyDeleteConfirmed to work with i9500!
ReplyDeleteDid not work for me on a Verizon Samsung S3 SCH-I535, Jelly Bean 4.3. Running under Windows7. Installed Samsung Drivers and can see phone files. Kies3 is able to see all files.
ReplyDeleteError: 'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Ideas or solution?
Developer options is enabled?

ReplyDeleteTry first to "End process" Kies from task manager
Verified: Verizon Samsung S3 SHC-i535, jelly bean 4.3 build number JSS15J.I535VRUCML1.
ReplyDeleteVerified: Developer options enabled, USB debugging: enabled.
Cycled MTP to PTP and back to PTP.
Ended "Kies" process from task manager after other attempts - same error seen.
No error when run.bat starts. It gets to: "Press any key to continue"
First error is: 'adb' is not rec....
Screen shot below from the start. All comments are posted, but 'adb...' is seen until the end of the process.
Screen shot above with first error.

ReplyDeleteWhy you don't extract the file?
ReplyDeleteWorked like a champ... Back to root!
ReplyDeleteExtracted the files to a new folder and the desktop and everything worked correctly.

Also installed xda linked Samsung drivers. Also switched from MTP->PTP->MTP .. still says waiting for device (see screenshot).. Any suggestions??

ReplyDeleteafter u root ur device.. did u install cwm after tht?.. did knox countrr change after that?
ReplyDeleteyaay!!! im very happy that i could able to root my note 2 n7100...Android 4.3...thank you so much.. :)
ReplyDeleteCWM bricks device! And no way to make recovery, and this void warranty. Don't do it!
ReplyDeleteThis actually worked really well! Thank you OP!
ReplyDeleteNo, I mean I didn't install CWM. But if you do so, it voids your warranty as for now there's no way to reset that counter.
ReplyDeleteI have a problem I haven't seen in these discussions. After my phone reboots I can no longer hook my phone up via USB. Everything was working fine up till then but now my phone doesn't even get the USB icon in the notification tray. I waited for over a half an hour for the root kit to re-recognize my phone before I messed with anything. Quadrupal checked all of my drivers but it just looks like my phone just isn't trying to hook up to my computer at all so it seams like it is on the phone side of the equation.
ReplyDeleteMy phone is a Samsung S3 on Verizon.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI try with i9505 and it works perfectly (root without tripping KNOX)!
I just wondering if someone try with Note 3 N9005!
Thanx!
I've just got my new SGS4 and I want to root it. But i DON'T want that the knox counter is tripped!
ReplyDeleteI think I didn't do an firmeware update.
My Buildnumber is JSS15J.I9505XXUEMJ5
So can I use this root methode without tripping knox?
I hope someone could help me.
Thx in advance
same problem/question here.
ReplyDeletedid anyone know an answer?
It doesn't work on new 4.3 firmwares of i9505. Tried itself, MKF worked, now on NA4 doesn't support device. So guys be patient, waiting for rooting tool update...
ReplyDeleteIt worked on my Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505 LTE), Android 4.3, Vodafone NL. Thank you!!! From now on, you're my God!!
ReplyDeleteIt seemed to work for me, and I can use Root only apps now but I still can't flash a custom ROM, and that was why I even bothered rooting my Phone. Help?
ReplyDeleteCould anyone help? I was able to get my phone rooted and install CMW recovery via Rom Manager, but when I go to recovery I get an error message saying System software no authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. It won't let me do anything from there.
ReplyDeleteI had rooted my galaxy note 2 indian with this process and my knox warranty voidflag tripped and its showing from 0 to 1...
ReplyDeleteCan I revert it back plz help ...
Not true, you don't use this method to root your device or you use another thing after using this method so that it trip knox and no way to reset it
ReplyDeleteyou can't install custom recovery
ReplyDeleteOk. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIs there a way to reverse this? Safestrap will not work with this? Rooted a note 2 on i605vruemj9. Do
ReplyDeleteAfter rooting using this method, would I be able to change the APN setting on my S3? I need to able to change the APN, I will be traveling out of the country.
ReplyDeleteJust went through this. You need to find the stock recovery mode. Then do a factory reset and clear the dalvik cache. Then you can get the correct samsung rom from samsung-updates.com
ReplyDeleteTried the above step but nothing happens. It does not root. Says device not found after a few steps. What do I do.. installed the SuperSU also but after the binary update and normal installation it says installation failed. Reboot and try again. Tried many times to no avail. Please help
ReplyDeleteWorked perfectly for GS3 AT&T with 4.3
ReplyDeleteSorry, but you can't ...
ReplyDeletedidnt work for verizon galaxy note 3 4.3
ReplyDeleteThis method does not allow you to unlock the bootloader. This means that you won't be able to install customer recovery or custom ROMs. So it is pretty pointless unless you just want root access.

ReplyDeleteRepair solution
Is there any way this could work for Ubuntu, because that's the only way I'm able to effectively use my Computer. Now, with Windows (7), my laptop just overheats way to quickly.
ReplyDeleteGo to saferoot thread, he explain how to use it on mac and linux
ReplyDeletem not getting the file to download on your given discription???? wt to do i have galaxy note 3 version 4.3
ReplyDeleteI dont have the Developer Options thingy. My phone model is i9305. Is it not possible to root my phone?
ReplyDeleteBuy triangle away, it'll reset the counter
ReplyDeleteHey, Mr. Wolf. I unrooted after I used this, and now I can't update my bloody phone. It says that my System Status is "Custom". Is there anyway to fix this? Preferably without rooting it again, please.
ReplyDeleteWon't work for Note 3
ReplyDeleteSettings / More / About device /
ReplyDeleteTap 7 times on "build number"
Flash stock FW
ReplyDeletedont do a factory reset after you do this because it tripped my warranty bit im flashing back to stock using odin at the moment hoping it will fix this but just dont do a factory reset lol
ReplyDeleteWill this work on my device?
ReplyDeleteGT-I9500
Baseband: I9500XXUEMK8
Ukraine (Kyivstar)
Will this root my note 2 1317 even tho it's with bell not telus
ReplyDeletecould someone modify this to work with 4.4?
ReplyDeleteYes. You can root with this method fine without Knox counter triggered.
ReplyDeleteFor the frequently-asked questions 'Will this void the warranty?' and 'Will this trigger the Know counter?', the answer for both is 'NO'.
ReplyDeletehi, sgh-m919 galaxy s4 with new 4.2.2 update has this worked for anyone else yet just want to know if ill be safe to try it?
ReplyDeleteof course i meant 4.4.2........sorry!
ReplyDeleteIt won't work
ReplyDeleteThe main thing that I could remember about that phone is you have to use a samsung USB cord. I tried with a generic cord that I had around my house and my device was never recognized through ADB.
ReplyDeletecan you get it to work on SCH-R530M metropcs galaxy s3?
ReplyDeleteGreat! Thank you!!! Worked fine on my S4 I337M from Mexico (Telcel) Thannk you very much. Now I can delete all the crap apps from Telcel. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteWill this work on an S4 on KitKat 4.4.2? Also, will using this method unlock the boot loader for the phone?
ReplyDelete1. There is no Knox flag in Odin mode on my SGS 3 JB 4.3 stock. Do I have Knox?
ReplyDelete2. I want to make it 100% stock using saferoot and triangle away. Will i manage to do it?
3. Is better to do factory reset or flash stock with Odin to avoid tripping Knox?
Hi,
ReplyDeleteWill this method work for galaxy s4 gt-i9506 ?
It's not listed in the telephone list.
Thanks
I9300?
ReplyDelete1. I9300 doesn't have KNOX on Android 4.3 jelly bean
2. If your device is I9300, use this : http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2014/02/Safe-Root-Android-4.3-Galaxy-S3-GT-I9300-No-Warranty-Void.html and no need for triangle away app
I don't know and I can't test saferoot for I9506 because I don't have it.
ReplyDeleteYou can to try it, it is harmless if it fails to root your device.
This method won't work on S4 running KitKat
ReplyDeleteThanks for your quick answer.
ReplyDeleteSo, you mean that I can try and if it fails it won't trigger Knox warranty void?
If it succeed, do you know if I'll be able to install exposed framework?
Thanks.
If it fails, it won't trigger Knox warranty.
ReplyDeleteIf it succeed, yes you can install exposed framework.
Best regards
does this have the unroot.bat in it or do i get that elsewhere?
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, this only currently works on 4.3 or below. Anything above that needs and different method. And no it won't unlock th bootloader. Matter of fact, if you're on Verizon, nothing unlocks the bootloader. For any Android 4,3 or higher.
ReplyDeleteThat is of course as long as they're on 4.3 or lower. Anything above 4.3 isn't compatible at this time as far as i know. Therefore, it won't do anything
ReplyDeleteYou can unroot by opening SuperSu app / settings / full unroot
ReplyDeleteIt can also work for samsung galaxy S3 I9305 lte XXEUMK1???
ReplyDeletethis method will not work on samsung s4 4.4.2 firmware
ReplyDeleteGalaxy Note 2 i605 Verizon carrier. It reboots, says waiting for device, then says "Check Device and tap Grant" the phone is still booting up, then it errors out saying "Device Not Found" before the phone has a chance to finish booting. Doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteSuperSu in your phone's app drawer?
ReplyDeleteGot it now thanks.
ReplyDeleteUsed this method and now after a reboot phone wont turn back on at all. Completely dead.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that it's because of this method ?!!!! its safe at all
ReplyDeleteYou are the first one ...
I did everything here step by step, phone restarted, verified root and all was good. I tried to boot into recovery mode and it would not come back on. Now I cant find a debrick file as it is a R530X from a local company. I think I'm just screwed.
ReplyDeletethat's mean this method doesn't brick your phone because it just root your phone.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me what is the problem exactly?
what happened when you press power button?
You are able to boot into download mode?
You have custom recovery or stock?
Make sure you charge your phone
I unroot it with the supre su app but it will not let me update my phone and now I'm having connectivity issues...not sure if it is because of this but now I can not update my phone at all.
ReplyDeleteyou are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletei dont know but i will stock official rom and make device status official once again.....i would thank u again if even that works!!!
You mean OTA update, because you can update by kies or odin at any time
ReplyDeleteIf you would like to update by OTA, factory reset or flash stock rom
Factory reset or flash stock rom

ReplyDeletethis is my device info..
ReplyDeleteyoiu know what i dont get.. how can they prove that you rooted the phone? so what if knox is tripped what if you installed malware that tried to exploit root and did all this shit in the background unbeknown to the user? then what? this is exactly why i think we should all have root access because that is the only real way to secure root to begin with..
